The cobot vision inspection system allows completion of multiple inspections with a single camera system, allowing accurate and reliable inspections results – even in areas that are difficult to access – collaborating side-by-side with manual operations.  The system enables automated inspection of various components for defect detection, option and assembly verification as well as optical code recognition.

The cobot vision inspection system features a FANUC collaborative robot with a Cognex camera mounted on an end-of-arm tool.  Cobots allow operators to work along side of the robot without the need for safety fences limiting the inspection system footprint and simplifying integration.  FANUC cobots immediately stop after coming into contact with a person or fixed object thanks to proven safe-contact stop sensor technology.  The end-of-arm tool features a soft foam enclosure that fully envelops the camera to cushion the force of any contact.  Experienced BOS robot programmers and vision engineers will complete all programming to offer a full, turnkey solution for your application.
